A Bronze Qilin Water Dropper

Ming Dynasty, 15th - 16th Century

Finely cast in a recumbent position, with head turned to the side, right front leg extended, back leg tucked beneath its body, left legs tucked beside the body. Superbly detailed with flowing mane, incised scales and flame-like tail, highlighting the grandeur of the figure.
